What services do you offer?
Dark Side Wellness Collective, LLC provides mental health counseling services to adolescents and adults throughout the state of Alabama. Currently, all counseling services are provided exclusively through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth, allowing clients to participate conveniently from a private location using a device with internet access.
Services are provided by April Lawson, MS, ALC, NCC (ALC #05696), an Associate Licensed Counselor in the state of Alabama, under the clinical supervision of David McCullough, LPC-S.

At Dark Side Wellness, I take a whole-person approach to mental health. I believe our mental and emotional well-being is influenced by many interconnected parts of our lives—including trauma, shame, relationships, stress, body image, nutrition, physical health, and our environment. Understanding the whole person, rather than focusing only on symptoms, can create space for meaningful and lasting change.
Do you accept insurance?

Dark Side Wellness is a private-pay practice and is not currently credentialed with or billing insurance companies directly. Payment for services is due in full at the time of each session.
Following your appointment, you will receive a detailed Superbill that includes the information you may need to submit a claim to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Because insurance benefits vary by plan, I recommend contacting your insurance provider before beginning services to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits, deductibles, reimbursement rates, and any requirements for submitting a claim. Dark Side Wellness cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for services.
